Regional Program: Southern Africa

BASIS Background Since 1997, the program focused on land and water issues. One project of collaborative research and fieldwork targeted land transactions and markets in Namibia, South Africa, and Zimbabwe. A second project targeted research on water resource management in the course of water policy reform in Malawi, Mozambique and Zimbabwe.
